Welcome to paulbarker.me.uk

This is the personal home page for Paul Barker, currently a PhD student in the School of Electronic, Electrical and Systems Engineering at Loughborough University. My research aims to improve the monitoring and assessment of underwater noise levels in the context of their potential impact on marine animals.

I'm also the maintainer of opkg, a package manager for embedded Linux systems, and I'm a member of the Yocto Project community, mostly focussing on the use of opkg within OpenEmbedded.

In addition to my PhD research, I founded and chaired a hobby electronics and programming society at Loughborough University.

I've also written several articles.

If you benefit from my work on opkg or other open source projects please consider buying me something off my Wish List. It would make my day.
